Reaching International Markets

The SEMA Global Media Awards program brings international exposure to SEMA Show exhibitors who participate in the New Products Showcase. As part of the program, international journalists are invited to select products that they feel would have a large appeal in their home countries, and the chosen companies are recognized with Global Media Awards. The publications below helped paint a picture of the 2017 program by covering some of the companies that won awards at last year’s SEMA Show.

AutoZulia International

AutozuliaAutoZulia International provided an inside look at the Global Media Awards through Henry Pierini, who was a judge for the 2017 program. Out of more than 3,000 New Products Showcase entries at the 2017 SEMA Show, Pierini selected 10 winners and shared with his readers details on each of the products that would be of interest to consumers in Venezuela.

Forward Geek

Forward GeekForward Geek covered the sixth year of the Global Media Awards and analyzed the process in selecting winners such as NRD. A panel of 30 top automotive journalists from 19 different countries reviewed and evaluated more than 3,000 entries to select winners based on the demand of their countries’ automotive customization markets.

AutosphereSteve Pawlett wrote a piece for Autosphere on Hunter Engineering’s new tire changer winning a 2017 Global Media Award. He also described the overall goal of the program through quotes from Linda Spencer, SEMA senior director of international and government affairs.
