A Message From Roy Littlefield

TIA Executive Vice President

On behalf of the Tire Industry Association (TIA), I would like to welcome you to the 2017 Global Tire Expo (GTE)—Powered by TIA and the SEMA Show. We are confident that our partner SEMA has worked very hard to bring another successful event to Las Vegas this year.

The Global Tire Expo focuses on promoting all aspects of the tire industry and providing outstanding educational and networking opportunities. This is closely related to our mission, which is to promote tire safety through training and education, to act as the principal advocate in government affairs, and to enhance the image and professionalism of the industry so that our member businesses may be more successful.

With our training and education, we are looking forward to introducing some exciting new educational sessions this year. They all touch on important topics, from addressing some of the biggest challenges for technicians to driving the Millennial consumer, to your business. The sessions will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and they include: “The Next Generation of TPMS Tools,” “Jacking and Lifting Trucks and Trailers,” “Successful Tire Dealers Share Their Secrets,” “The Art of Balancing, Truck Tire Service After Seven Years of CSA,” and “Growing Your Tire Business in the Millennial Age.”

TIA also plays an important role in supporting legislative and advocacy matters that impact the industry’s growth and well-being. We invite you to join our 2017 Legislative Review that focuses on how the current White House administration and the Republicans in Congress have impacted the tire industry. This will be held on Wednesday, November 1, from 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. in the South Hall of the convention center.

We would like to thank all of our TIA members for attending this year’s Show and for your unwavering support and commitment to TIA and our mission.

Finally, we encourage everyone to take advantage of all the resources and opportunities that Global Tire Expo and TIA have to offer and be sure to come by and see us at our booths #40066 and #40069. Thank you for being a part of this experience and we hope you enjoy your stay in Las Vegas!
