  A Message From Roy Littlefield
Roy Littlefield.

It is with great pride that I welcome you, on behalf of the Tire Industry Association (TIA), to the 2016 Global Tire Expo (GTE)—Powered by TIA and the SEMA Show. Our valuable partner SEMA has worked tirelessly to put together a world-class Show that is unmatched in the industry.

Earlier this year, the TIA Board of Directors adopted a new mission statement for the association. It reads as follows:

The mission of TIA is to promote tire safety through training and education, to act as the principal advocate in government affairs, and to enhance the image and professionalism of the industry so that our member businesses may be more successful.

The GTE/SEMA Show is a perfect example of how we are fulfilling our mission. We are here to promote tire safety through training and education. Our GTE education sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday are where the industry’s top experts will educate you on topics such as TPMS, truck tire service and more.

Our mission also states that TIA acts as an advocate in government affairs. Come learn more about TIA’s work on Capitol Hill during the “TIA’s 2016 Legislative Review: The Issues that Affect You and How to Protect your Bottom Line” on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. (room S106-107). At the session, TIA will provide an overview of the legislative climate, the opportunities you have to stay informed and how you can get involved with issues that will affect your bottom line.

And finally, our mission talks about enhancing the image and professionalism of the industry so that our member businesses may be more successful. If you are one of the many TIA members who are here attending the Show, you are undoubtedly making your business more successful.

From discovering new products to networking, I hope that you will take advantage of all the opportunities that GTE and SEMA have to offer. Be sure to stop by the TIA booth (#40069) and say hello. I thank you for being here and hope you enjoy the Expo and your stay in Las Vegas!

Sincerely,
Roy Littlefield
