Range Rover’s next new model will move the brand into sportier and more road-biased territory, with a luxury $85,000 model pitched at the BMW X6. The new model, code named L560, could be named Range Rover Sport Coupe. Many details remain secret in the buildup to its launch, which is expected next year.

Spy photos show a model that will set new standards for Range Rover’s styling, interior and road-focused handling—the last of those coming courtesy of the Jaguar F-Pace’s suspension and lightweight aluminum body.

Powertrains will be drawn from the extensive JLR range of six- and eight-cylinder engines. A hybrid powertrain option is also expected.


This is the ’17 2500 RAM Power Wagon Laramie, caught high-altitude testing in the Rockies and sans the legacy “Macho Power Wagon” graphics and blacked-out bits.

The revamped, brawny Power Wagon will get a more luxurious version for those who need muscle but also want the wood- and leather-lined high-end trim offered on other Ram pickups.

The Laramie will get more brightwork with a new take on the Power Wagon’s Rebel-derived grille. A sort of chromed mesh insert replaces black plastic, and chromed wheels are now wrapped in the chunky off-road tires, too.

Expect to see the Laramie Power Wagon later this year.

With the introduction of the revised Wrangler, rumors have been circulating that an eight-speed automatic would be the only choice for the sake of efficiency and production simplification. Additional photos of the new Wrangler’s interior confirm that the ’18 version will still offer a manual option.

It’s also implied that the ’18 Wrangler will use a different transmission from the one in the current model, with a new shifter design and reverse relocated to the upper-left position.

Expect the six-speed to be available on lower Wrangler trims and probably not with the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 but only with the 3.6L V6, as it is on the current Wrangler.
