2015 Global Tire Expo Thrives at the SEMA Show
A World-Class Tire Event Dazzles SEMA Showgoers
Held in conjunction with the recent 2015 SEMA Show, the annual Global Tire Expo (GTE)—Powered by the Tire Industry Association (TIA)—continued its reputation as a world-class show within a show, highlighting the tire niche’s tremendous significance within the automotive specialty-equipment marketplace.
Each year, TIA and SEMA partner to produce the GTE, an exhibition and conference that serves the unique needs of tire dealers and the tire business community. Held in conjunction with the SEMA Show, the GTE is targeted at all segments of the tire industry, offering exhibitions as well as educational opportunities. The GTE serves as the tire industry’s comprehensive industry trade gathering place.
The 2015 GTE encompassed 232 exhibitors occupying 158,660 sq. ft. in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Lower South Hall. Reflecting on the Expo’s ongoing growth and popularity, TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield said, “We heard from many of our members that this year’s SEMA Show/GTE was the most successful ever. They reported that traffic on the Show floor was extremely busy throughout the week and the Show continues to provide an excellent opportunity to do business with current customers and to gain new ones. Many exhibitors in the GTE section of the Show increased their booth size from last year to this year, so we know they are seeing a return on their investment.”
“We couldn’t be more pleased with our partnership with TIA to present the Global Tire Expo each year at the SEMA Show,” said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. “The Expo is a tremendous annual martketplace for the industry and has become an essential asset to deliver product debuts, education and business opportunities to our respective members. Its continued growth and success have been a boon for the entire aftermarket.”
