Over the years, the Wheel & Tire Council (WTC, formerly known as the Wheel Industry Council, WIC) has not only brought together two related industry segments for the common good but has also centered its sights on the collective technical and educational needs of its members.
Much like SEMA’s mission to help members’ businesses grow and prosper by providing a range of resources, SEMA councils and networks also offer deliverables to their members. For the Wheel & Tire Council, that means providing a forum for member companies to work together to identify and address industry-related issues and explore opportunities in the aftermarket wheel industry.
Members of the Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) were treated to several segment-specific activities throughout the week of the 2018 SEMA Show, beginning with a general membership meeting held on Monday, October 29.
The Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) will be hosting events that will allow members of the aftermarket wheel and tire community to meet, mingle, collaborate and celebrate industry leaders at the iconic SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The events include networking at the council’s annual reception.
On July 1, the Wheel and Tire Council (WTC) will welcome Greg Parker of Wegmann Automotive as its new chair and Tyson Boyer of Dill Valves as chair-elect. The WTC is committed to the progression of the automotive aftermarket wheel and tire segment and providing resources and community for its members.
Fenton Liffick has more than 67 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, sales and metal and plastic finishing. He’s been involved in the automotive, truck and RV wheel and wheel accessory industries for 61 of those years, both for the auto manufacturers and for aftermarket companies.
The Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) held two events at the 2016 SEMA Show in November, which brought more than 160 wheel and tire professionals together.
On July 1, Joe Schaefer’s two-year term as chair of the Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) came to an end and Joe Findeis was initiated into the position. As the founder and president of Wheel Consultants Inc., Findeis handles operations in addition to developing tire and wheel fitment data for the company’s online programs and publication. He is also the creator of “The Ultimate Wheel and Tire Plus Sizing Guide,” the tire and wheel fitment guide known as “The Red Book.”

Amid the hustle and bustle of the 2014 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, members of the Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) took the time one evening to network, reunite with old friends, enjoy food and beverages, and honor two members by welcoming them into the WTC Hall of Fame.
