New Law Supports Lending, Tax Breaks for SEMA Member Companies [2]

SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, applauded the signing
into law of the “Small Business Jobs and Credit Act” (H.R. 5297),
including $12 billion in tax incentives for small businesses and
creating a $30 billion resource to activate greater lending to small
businesses by community banks.

SEMA Applauds Senate Passage of Small Business Lending Bill [3]

SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, praised the United
States Senate for passing the “Small Business Jobs and Credit Act” (HR
5297). SEMA urged quick ratification by the House of Representatives so
that it could then be signed into law by President Obama.

New Industry Award to Debut at the 2010 SEMA Show [4]

SEMA Show exhibitors will choose three outstanding vehicles as the winners of an all-new award, simply called the “SEMA Award.” Presented in three categories – “Hottest Car,” “Hottest Truck,” and “Hottest 4x4-SUV” – the SEMA Award marks the first time ever that the “exhibitor’s choice” will be tallied, recognizing the year’s top trend-setting vehicles.

Hobbyists Come Out in Force to Celebrate Inaugural "Collector Car Appreciation Day" [12]

On Friday, July 9, 2010, collector car enthusiast organizations across
the country gathered to celebrate the first ever “Collector Car
Appreciation Day,” as designated by U.S. Senate Resolution 513 (S. Res.
513). Events ranging from car cruises and shows to small business open
houses and special offers were held to honor the cultural and
educational importance of collector cars. Car clubs, enthusiast
organizations, and affiliated businesses hosted over 100 events in more
than 40 states to commemorate this special day.
