SEMA Town Hall Meetings: Sacramento, California

The SEMA Town Hall Meeting in Sacramento, California was a successful way to kick off the first of the SEMA Town Hall series for 2014. Eighty members/non-members attended this event and had the opportunity to network with industry leaders and discuss the industry during an open forum. Main topic covered during the panel discussion:

How to promote business and products effectively and efficiently?

Nate Shelton and the other panelists gave great examples to help companies promote their products by taking advantage of an event like the Media Trade Conference, connecting manufacturing members with media.  Manufacturers can exhibit in a three-day event to promote the products to different media outlets. The Media Trade Conference is put on by SEMA's Motorsports Parts Manufacturers Council (MPMC) which is open for a yearly rate to SEMA members who manufacture products for sanctioned motorsports events. Also mentioned was using the online tools like the education webinars that highlight marketing resources such as social media training (basic, intermediate and advanced) depending on your level of training. These webinars are free for SEMA members. To learn more, contact Juliet Marshall at

We would like to extend a special thanks to the great folks at Driven Performance Brands for hosting the event and U.S. State Senator Ted Gaines for attending. Other big thanks to our panelists: SEMA Board of Directors members Nate Shelton (Driven Performance Brands), John Hotchkis (Hotchkis Performance) and former SEMA Board member, Joel Ayres (Bedslide/Takit Inc.) for their assistance with this first-ever town hall meeting in Sacramento.
