I was on a business trip recently and found myself with a bit of downtime in the morning. I had a couple of hours before I needed to be anywhere, so I turned on the TV and immediately became immersed in a movie. When I made mention of the movie to a colleague, she asked if I had read the book. I had not. Nor will I. It isn’t that I don’t enjoy a good book; I simply enjoy a good movie more. The SEMA Data Co-op has become “data central” for hundreds of specialty parts brands, representing millions of part numbers, and tens of millions of vehicle applications. At the 2017 SEMA Show, the SDC rolled out a completely refreshed user interface. Members who received demonstrations at the Show saw a Product Information Management System (PIMS) that offers more functionality, features and information than ever before. Now, members log-in to their dashboard to view the status of their account at a glance, and review exports, data health, new members and more.

Since the inception of the SEMA Data Co-op (SDC) in 2012, more than 520 product brands representing more than 4.5 million parts have joined what is now the industry’s largest specialty parts product data repository.
